It really depends on where you’re going. First of all, there is no skiing around Oslo, so you’d have to go somewhere. I think the closest ski resort is about an hour or so away. Second, everything in norway is expensive as hell. A week ski pass will be around 200-300 USD I think, no idea about rental but I’m sure it’s pricey. I live in Sweden, and it would be cheaper for my to fly to the alps to go skiing instead of just drive to norway. But if you really want to go skiing in norway, just google Trysil, one of the biggest resorts about 3 hours or so from Oslo, and you’ll find some price suggestion.
Here’s an example from Geilo which lies on the train line between Oslo and Bergen
PRISEKSEMPLER PÅ SKIUTLEIE 2008/09:
ALPINSKI T.O.M 110 CM Med Støvler 200
ALPINSKI FRA 150 CM Uten støvler 310 Med støvler 350 TELEMARK uten støvler 310
TELEMARK med støvler 350
SNOWBOARD T.O.M 135 CM Uten støvler 240 Med støvler 290 SNOWBOARD FRA 140 CM Uten støvler 310 Med støvler 350
(price per day støvler are boots)
ski pass 2 timer 250,- 1/2 dag – 4 timer 295,- 1 dag 340,-
Some will depend on exactly when you go and how far you are willing to travel. I’ve attached a list of rental places in the Oslo area.
Alpin skiiing isn’t as popular in Norway as elsewhere in europe, but there are places around and the queues tend to be small
