Hey,
I’ve got a question about sports equipment on flights. I’m flying from the States to Germany and got a snowboard in a huge snowboard bag… My airline (Airberlin) told me it can weight up to 30kg so I thought, I can just throw all my snowboard gear in there as well like jackets and pants etc. But now I heard that airlines can be a little funny with that and even though it’s a huge back I’m just allowed to put my snowboard and boots in there. That’s it. Does anybody have any experience with that? Do they really open the bag to check that I didn’t put anything else in? I mean I could book another piece of luggage but that would cost me 150 dollars and there’s sooo much space in my snowboard bag. That’s just stupid!
