Best brands for Ski/Snowboard Gloves?

I’m a first time skier and I have no idea which brands I should go for in terms of ski and snowboard gloves. Anyone know which brands are best as a starting point for me?

I head Kombi, Swany and Salomon were pretty good. I was thinking about getting the Kombi Cyclone II or the Salomon Equipe Race GTX. Anyone know whether these 2 gloves are good or not?
I’m interested in good quality gloves that’s waterproof. Something in the range of $50-$150. I’ve heard cheaper gloves aren’t waterproof and they’ll make your hands freeze when they’re wet.

I am ordering new snowboard gloves and cant decide. I want a stylish glove that will look fresh in the park but at the same time, i want a warm glove the DOESN’T get wet! I really have no price range. I want a nice glove that will last me a while. I was thinking Burton AK yeti glove? but i heard some bad things like the wear and tear to easy for the cost of them. Also Burton RPM glove? Burton Staple glove? Grenade Fryer Mathes glove? idk any options or opinions welcome. Thnks for the feedback!!

Looking for a new pair of snowboard gloves that has a high friction on the palm, fingers and between the thumb and forefinger. I need this kind of glove to help increase the grip that I have on pull ropes on the terrain parks and such. Anyone know a good pair of gloves, regardless of its price, that is exceptionally ‘grippy’?

Are snowboard gloves supposed to be tight?

I ordered some Protest snow gloves, and they’ve came, but their fairly tight.

Are the gloves supposed to be tight or should their be room to breath?

Just to give more info… i’m a 6′1, 18 year old male. The gloves i have are medium, and i’ve always been a medium in normal gloves for a while (i have average size hands for my size i think).

I had a very nice pair of Dakine gloves, but I managed to tear into the palm with the edge of my board after the third day. The lining is still intact, so they’re still useful, but I’m thinking about buying a new pair next year and don’t want to run into the same issue.
