When is it worth it to buy your own snowboard?

Thursday, March 8th, 2012

Im seriously considering buying a snowboard, its on sale since its last year’s model and I plan on going alot this winter but the resort is about 2-3 hours away so itll only be a maximum of 10 times..ive done the math and renting is about $20 so thats about $200 to rent. id be paying about $300 for my own board and another $100 for bindings. I have boots already but I just dont know if its worth it to get a board and bindings…the board is a ride compact and it retails for $370 and i can get it for $279 so im saving $100 there! what are the pros and cons to having your own board?

Where is the closest place to Southern California with snowboarding year round? How much will it cost to go?

Thursday, March 1st, 2012

Hey I bought snowboard in an afterseason sale and I was looking for a way to try it out before next season. I heard about these year round resorts and I thought that would be cool so I was hoping there would be someplace to go snowboarding for not very much money. I have a snowboard so there is no renting cost and if it is allowed in the area I have an RV I could take there which would help alot on hotels or whatever. If anyone knows of a place give me some of the info or at least a link to a website.

Is this a good deal for a snowboard?

Thursday, February 16th, 2012

A local board shop has a sale going on. I can get a whole set up, bindings, flow board, and boot for $450. Is that good? It’s all new and I think the board is an Eva, eve, or era. Idk which one. Thanks for your input!

Snowboard question: Is Prom Raven a good brand?

Thursday, January 12th, 2012

I’m a beginner snowboarder looking for a fairly inexpensive but quality board. Hopefully I can get a good sale deal, but I don’t know what brand would be best! I’ve seen some Prom Raven boards on ebay that aren’t too much $$$. Any advice??
