Alright, i snowboard every week and i have glasses. I cant see anything clearly without my glasses. i need to get goggles soon, and i have three options. I could find goggles that fit over my glasses, but the sales person at my local skateshop said they were difficult to find. I could buy contacts and get regular goggles, or i could get prescription goggles, which the sales person said were very expensive. which would be the best choice?

Thursday, November 17th, 2011So here’s the deal. Last week I picked up a snowboard on sale. Its a K2 Podium 159. The other size options were a 156, and a 162. I’m basically a beginner, although i have some experience. My riding style is mostly groomers, cruising, and some fast carving. I am 6′0″ and 145 lbs. I got the 159 because i thought the extra stiffness would be good for carving, but then I found out that i could have a much harder time doing turns. A friend of mine told me it will be sluggish and real hard to maneuver because i’m so light. So, is this too big of a board for me? Should I have gotten the 156? I’m starting to kick myself.

Im a noob but i dont want to just waste $200 to just a year later upgrade to a brand name one. When is the best time to buy a snowboard on sale? should i just wait to buy after the season is done? which is like March-april? Oh and how easy is it to find after year sales on websites like thehouse.com and sierra.com?

Saturday, October 15th, 2011I am looking to buy a snowboard and I finally found the one I like on this site!! It is the ONLY site that has it on sale for 100$less. It says it only has one size: 146, which is what i would get.(strange because it comes in 5 different sizes) Is it safe to buy it from there? is shipping crazy money?? I’m a female, about 5′4, I weigh about 125-130 lbs, and I’m basically a beginner.
If it’s too big, do you think it’s something I could get used to? I really don’t wanna send the board back, I don’t think I even can cause it was on sale.
