You have to be old enough to snowboard (like 4 years old), but under 18 you have to have a parent or guardian sign for you.
Edit: No, I think you can print a rental form out online and have them fill it out with you at home. but if you’re doing the whole process in the rental shop, yes, you need a parent with you.
