Are the degrees listed designed to help tell what temperature the wax will melt from an iron, or what temperature snow you ride on?
If it is the snow, how am I supposed to know this?
I live in southern New York, we don’t get too much snow and the average winter temperatures when I’m boarding are around 25-40.
I bought a stick of warm temperature wax, and am afraid this wont work.
I was just wondering im interested in buying a new winter jacket and i ski so i wanted to buy a snowboard jacket which have better styles. So is there a difference i should be aware/worried about and if u could recommend a brand that be awesome.

im trying to buy a snowboard jacket but i dont know what shell and softshell mean. also should all jackets be insulated? what is the advantage of an insulated compared to a noninsulated one?

I’m trying to find out which I should buy for downhill skiing as I am a beginner skier. Ladies ski jacket or snowboard jacket? There seems to be more snowboard than ski styles. But the snowboard jackets look baggier. will this affect skiing?
I’ve been doing a little online browsing and have come across a website that sells ski gloves and snowboard gloves. What, if anything, is the difference?
They pretty much look to be the same to me…
For the record, I ski and board, so would one type be better or more versatile than the other?
