DISCOUNT SKI & BOARD RENTAL PORTAGE WI.

DISCOUNT SKI BOARD RENTAL PORTAGE WI. 608.745.1295Charlie Gerstung “” I came in on Saturday morning of a beautiful holiday weekend with my dad and my 7 and 8 year old daughters. It was the first time skiing for all three of them. Even though the shop was quite busy, everyone was friendly, extremely helpful and efficient. While I was trying on my boots, my daughters were struggling to get theirs on. A very nice young female employee noticed right away and came over and had them both in the right size in no time. Meanwhile, my dad’s EEE wide feet were making it difficult to find the right boot, but the boot guy was very patient as he made multiple exchanges until they found the right one. The place was hoping again at return time, but the employees were again very friendly and were really hustling to keep anyone from waiting. It was a pleasure saving money and getting such great service. Thank you!!

At Sunrise Ski Resort, what size should I get of the rental snowboard boots?

Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

Last time, I got a 9 (mens?) and I had heel lift, and I’m an 8.5 womens shoe size. I think I tried on the 8 and I couldn’t get my foot in all the way. I don’t remember exactly what the sizes there were numbered as, because one guy I knew was a 13 or something and he had to get a size 18 boot. I might not have been able to get my foot in the 8, because I have slightly high arches and a slightly wide foot. Should I try the 8 again and loosen up the laces some more next time I go?

Why did I have a hard time lifting my rental snowboard with one foot strapped in? I couldn’t lift entire board

Thursday, February 16th, 2012

So I took snowboarding lessons for the first time today. We practiced with one foot strapped. I had a really difficult time lifting the board. One side of the board was always dragging on the ground. Everyone else was able to lift their entire board off the ground when climbing. I am wondering if the board I had was too long. I’m 5 ft tall and the rental board I got was up to my nose standing up. I’d debating whether or not to give snowboarding lessons another try and I’d really like to know if my board was just too big for me, or if I was just not strong enough to be able to lift the entire board off the ground, even just an inch, in order to climb up a hill. Riding the board was fun and not too difficult but dragging the board back to a higher elevation each time really made me tired really fast. Thanks for your input!

Does anyone know of a ski/snowboard rental shop in or near Santa Fe Springs (CA)???

What binding angles are rental snowboards set at?

Thursday, August 11th, 2011

I’ve snowboarded about 10 times over 2 years, but I’ve always used a rental snowboard. Now, I bought a new snowboard so I don’t have to rent anymore, but I don’t know what binding angle to set it at. The rental snowboards always worked fine for me, so I’m thinking I should use those angles. Thanks for answering!

Camelback Ski Resort Rental Alternatives – Tips For Skiers on a Budget

Are you worried about facing the long rental lines at Camelback Ski Resort in the Poconos, PA? Shorten the time it takes to get on the lift by checking out some local Camelback ski rental alternatives. In many cases, you can find cheaper rental prices and nonexistent lines. Here are some local ski and snowboard rental options. Be sure to plan ahead, though – you don’t want to miss any slope time because you forgot your poles or boots.

Great prices on ski and snowboard rentals in the Poconos are available at Mike N Matt’s Snowboard Shop (Route 115, Blakeslee, PA). You’ll find a much wider selection of snowboard rentals than those available on Camelback and at better prices. Their location close to Camelback Ski Resort is a plus, as are the prices – ski rentals for $12 and snowboard rentals for $18. There’s a $150 refundable deposit required. If you’re looking for a place to purchase ski and snowboard gear, skis, boots, poles, and snowboards are available to buy, too.

Starting Gate Rentals and Repair (Bushkill, PA) also has a ski and snowboard rental area for adults and kids. If you hit this local shop, you’ll find all shapes of skis and comfortable Dalbello boots for a great day on the mountain. Staying at Camelback Ski Resort a few days or more? This shop offers longer-term rentals for reduced rates. Need a tune or repair? The repair shop features high tech ski and snowboard tuning using the Grind Rite Machine, which will help you achieve sharp edges and a smooth gliding base.

Pocono Ski Rentals Inc. (located at RR #1 Box 14, Tannersville, PA) is the closest option for non-site rentals; call the shop before heading over for rates and availability.

Of course, renting from Camelback Ski area itself is also an option. Camelback ski resort exclusively offers Salomon rental equipment for kids and adults. For all-day rental, you’ll pay $33 for adults and $30 for kids. For those who want more advanced performance, high-performance rentals are $40 per day. And get a jump on the lines with this new twist for 2009-2010 – skiers and snowboarders can rent items online and go directly to pick up, which can get you on the slope faster.

Come on over to experience Poconos skiing, scenery, and snowboarding for yourself. For all your Poconos PA skiing needs and tips on cheap hotels in the Poconos area, our Camelback Ski site is there to serve you.

Visit http://camelbackmountainskier.com to find the best lodging in the Poconos. We’re always looking for Camelback deals and budget bargains!
