Where to buy ski/snowboard wax in bulk?

Friday, May 4th, 2012

Where is the best place online to buy a half a kg or more solid ski/snowboard iron-on wax? Either all condition or medium temperature wax would be preferable. By best I mean highest quality for the lowest price.

Best brands for Ski/Snowboard Gloves?

Saturday, April 21st, 2012

I’m a first time skier and I have no idea which brands I should go for in terms of ski and snowboard gloves. Anyone know which brands are best as a starting point for me?

I head Kombi, Swany and Salomon were pretty good. I was thinking about getting the Kombi Cyclone II or the Salomon Equipe Race GTX. Anyone know whether these 2 gloves are good or not?
I’m interested in good quality gloves that’s waterproof. Something in the range of $50-$150. I’ve heard cheaper gloves aren’t waterproof and they’ll make your hands freeze when they’re wet.

Has anyone installed glasses into their ski/snowboard goggles?

I’m trying to make a brace or something to hold my glasses inside. I’m going to take the arms off the glasses and just mount the front part. Looking for ideas.

Salomon Patrol Custom Air Ski/Snowboard Helmet

Sale: $74.00 – Retail: $129.00 www.levelninesports.com The classic styling of the Salomon Patrol Helmet is modernized with a removable visor and faux fur accents. The faux fur on the ear pads actually do something other than look cool though. Faux fur is the next best thing to real fur, and since real fur except on live animals is generally frowned upon (as do we), the faux stuff is now the best option for making ears comfortable and warm. In case it gets too hot, the ear flaps are removable, and the tab at the top of the helmet opens up the vents to cool things down.

Women and ski/snowboard jackets…?

Saturday, February 25th, 2012

When a girl wears a nice heavy shi jacket, do you like the way the collar feels when it is zipped all the way up? What do you like the feel of better… Over your nose, just over your mouth, under the chin, or zipped to bottom of the collar and folded down?

How do ski/snowboard rentals work?

Tuesday, December 6th, 2011

I’m 18 years old and I’m hoping to go up to Jiminy Peak with some friends by ourselves. I have my own equipment but two people don’t, both 17.

Am I allowed to rent for them? How would a deposit work? Can I use cash?

Please elaborate.

Scott Jr Tracer Ski/Snowboard Goggles

Thursday, November 24th, 2011

Sale: $19.00 – Retail: $35.00 www.levelninesports.com The Tracer goggles from Scott are kid specific, but that is mostly just because they are small to fit kid’s faces. The goggles themselves use the same quality lightweight and durable plastic for for the frame, and use the same Scott TruView dual lens that many of the adult models use. While these are simple goggles, the dual lens has been treated with the anti-fog lens treatment, and when combined with their passive ventilation system, you can be sure these won’t fog up while skiing. These goggles will fit your kid until he or she grows into an adult sized noggin (which is usually like age 11 or 12 ish), at which point its time to log back onto levelninesports.com (we hope ;) ).

Does anyone know of a ski/snowboard rental shop in or near Santa Fe Springs (CA)???
